Sigourney Weaver initially passed on the film after Alien 3’s ending but signed on instantly after reading the lab scene with the seven failed Ripley clones. She later joked that Fox “drove a dump truck full of money” to her house, her $11 million payday beat the entire budget of the original Alien.
